Terms and Conditions

Last updated: Jan 2026

These terms apply when you book or enrol on a course with Aspire Training (“we”, “us”), [Midland School of Childcare], Bellview Offices, Dublin Road, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, N91 NW64. By enrolling, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Statement and Learner Handbook.

1. Enrolment

1.1 Your place on a course is confirmed once we have received your completed registration and payment (or deposit, where applicable), and we have sent you written confirmation.

1.2 Some courses have entry requirements. We may ask for evidence of these before confirming your place. If you don’t meet them, we won’t ask for a deposit or confirm a place.

1.3 Classroom courses need a minimum number of learners to run. If a course doesn’t reach that number, we’ll offer you a transfer to a later date.

2. Fees and payment

2.1 Course fees are shown on each course page and are in euro.

2.2 Where a deposit applies, the balance is due prior to commencement.

2.3 Where instalments are offered: instalment dates are set out in your enrolment confirmation.

2.4 QQI certification fees are outlined in your learner handbook.

2.5 Online payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We don’t store your card details.

3. Cancellations and refunds

3.1 Your right to cancel. Under Irish consumer law, if you book online or by phone, you have 14 days from the date of booking to cancel and receive a full refund, subject to 3.2 and 3.3.

3.2 Online courses. Online courses give you immediate access to digital course content. When you enrol, we’ll ask you to agree that access starts straight away and that you then lose your right to cancel once you’ve accessed the course materials.

3.3 Classroom courses. If you ask your course to start within the 14-day cancellation period and then cancel, we may deduct an amount for the part of the course already delivered.

3.4 If we cancel. If we cancel a course or change its dates, you can choose a full refund or a transfer to another date or course.

4. During your course

4.1 Attendance. Classroom and live online courses require a minimum attendance. Check your learner manual for details.

4.2 Conduct. We expect all learners to treat tutors, staff and each other with respect. We may suspend or remove a learner whose behaviour is abusive, discriminatory or disruptive, without refund.

4.3 Your online account is for your use only. Don’t share your login or course materials with anyone else.

4.4 Work placement. Where a course includes a placement, you’re responsible for arranging it [with support from us], and for completing any Garda vetting the placement provider requires.

5. Assessment and certification

5.1 All assessed work must be your own. Plagiarism, copying, submitting work written by someone else, or using AI tools in a way your tutor hasn’t allowed is academic misconduct and will be dealt with under our Quality Assurance procedures.

5.2 Assignment deadlines are set out in your course materials. Extensions may be granted in line with our Extenuating Circumstances policy. Late work submitted without an approved extension may not be accepted.

5.3 Results are provisional until approved by our results approval process and QQI. Certificates are issued by QQI where accredited courses are run.

5.4 If you disagree with a result, you may appeal under our Assessment Appeals procedure.

6. Course materials

All course materials, including slides, handouts, videos and assessments, are owned by Aspire Training or used under licence. They’re for your personal study only and may not be copied, shared, sold or posted online.

7. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with any part of our service, please tell us. Our Complaints procedure is available on our Learner Support page. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.

8. Our liability

8.1 We take care to keep course information accurate and up to date, but may occasionally change tutors, venues, timetables or course content. We’ll tell you as early as possible about any significant change.

8.2 We’re not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness or public health restrictions. In those cases, we’ll offer you an alternative date, online delivery, or a refund for undelivered sessions.

8.3 Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. General

9.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you enrol apply to your course.

9.2 These terms are governed by Irish law, and any disputes will be dealt with by the Irish courts.

9.3 Questions about these terms can be sent to info@aspiretraining.ie.
